Pro-Arm Firearm Training Academy is responsible for firearm training in accordance with the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000.

Pro-Arm Firearm Training Academy has its own 10m indoor shooting range which is fully accredited by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) and is in compliance with the Compulsory Certification for Small Arms Shooting Range, published by the Government Notice R 7970 (Government Gazette No.: 26375) of 28 May 2004. The range is also accredited by the SAPS – Pretoria as a National Key Points (NKP) Shooting Range.

The Range is accredited for training in Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle and Hand Machine Carbine.

After successfully completing their training, learners are issued with a Certificate of Proficiency from Pro-Arm Firearm Training Academy and Statement of Results from PFTC. Learners are assisted with Letters of Motivation for their Application for a Competency Certificate.

Pro-Arm Shooting Range is also used by the general public, members of the SAPS, SA Defence Force, Department of Transport, PRASA, Airports Company South Africa, in-house and Private Security Companies.
